Be ware MBNA charges late fee and interest even if you submit your payment 3 days before your due date.The way they operate is that even if pay on the internet by DD they do not submit for payment from your account until the next day!!

The statement says it takes 5 working days to clear your payment and yet all the other major credit card companies accept payment by DD on the same morning of DD transaction.I have closed my account with MBNA credit card and destroyed the card.I will urge people to do the same.

I was late by 6days according to MBNA on a minimum payment. They took off 0% percent and charged 4 months at full percentage rate before reducing.
