Very disappointed with the service. I have cancelled my card paid up my balance and they have chosen to leave £500 on my account. I will not be using their card as Ive already cut it up yet they have not cancelled the full credit amount. Very unhappy with MBNA. I will be leaving this feedback with all reference agency's. 2/10 customer service. 2/10 interest rates. 1/10 for lack of customer relations. 0/10 for doing nothing that Ive asked. 0/10 for pestering me over a cancelled direct debit when my account is Nil, and Ive already closed the account. Mbna - 25$/month overage fees

have 2 credit cards, one goes near limit shuts down, so i assumed this newer one would be the same. but it wasn't allowing a little more flexibility until i noticed 25$ fees every month for going over the limit because when they add the interest, it sends the limit over, and they charge the $25 fee.

Buyer beware. This company will nickel and dime you!!! Complete scammers.

location? live chat on 2020-08-30 around 14:45 they HUNG UP on me or DISCONNECTED me? + 14:56 it said that live chat is unavailable ? I am (we are) amazed with their CUTTING OFF technologies and ZERO SERVICE?

(e-mails + pop up ads) their application OPENED and it said td bank? (td bank has NO live chat?) I went on their website mbna and there was live chat...i told her PLEASE STOP SOLICITING me IMMEDIATELY... she said they donot send or sent anybody e-mails? Well i think she was lying because they DO CONTINUE popping up their USELESS + WORTHLESS + misleading SOLICITATION ads in my e-mail OVER and OVER and OVER!

Worse customer service experiences even since 25 years of using credit card and being working myself in the financial industry

During this world pandemic, they claimed on their website like all the other credit card company does to help customer out but in fact they are the opposite, they chase you for a late payment for 4 days overdue for an amount of $200 dollars and called you like 4 times a day to your home number which has been told not to contact and use my cell number already and my email only, well not surprised As usual these people dont seem to listen and never remove the number on file. They called every month even if it was only a few days overdue for a small amount of money. I have always been making payments or at least min payment required. At least during this time, i tried my best and also did called in to make arrangements but guess what they still call you everyday like there is NO TOMORROW for $200 overdue where the minmum is $700 but i made $450 and advise them i will make the rest end of the week. They have been calling my home telling my parents about the overdue balance which is a breach of my privacy ! I could have even sue them for releasing my personal information to someone else without my consent. This has been the worst customer service experience i even had. My parents has applied for this credit card because of their attractive active points accumulating system as well as low interest rate but due to the language barrier i had to help them call to activate the card and we do live in the same household and share the same house number. The lady asked to speak with my parents and i advise them already she spoke poor english but i can passed her the phone. They said they couldnt help us and think that i was so kind of scam trying to activate someone’s credit card and because we have the same house number and they can see that im still late for my $200 payment therefore im a suspect for fraud !!!!! I can go on and on for all the horrible experience i had with this company. As someone who has been working in the same industry for over 15 years this is the worst i have ever had. I had been working with a fe w major bank across canada and by far thos has to be the WORST ever. Please take your money else where, i can guarantee you will have much better service and piece of mind . Even if you are just a tiny bit late, your collection call comes in like NO TOMORROW!

Credit Card Locked - Longer Than Normal Wait Times

Like the below mentioned post, I also just discovered my card has been 'locked'. What's up with that?? AND, can't get a hold of anyone on the phones! Understandably this is happening all over, but I had a much shorter wait time contacting another credit card company.

Useless and poor customer service. I am credit card customer of MBNA since 2012 and found not supporting its own customers. I am very disappointing with customer service. MBNA is not protecting there own customers and customer advisors are not polite. Customer advisors are not well informed and always mislead you. Also I did not find any benefits of their services.

I just want to say for anybody who wants to apply this company credit card, when you apply for, please please make sure to make the copy for yourself as ref, because you will ship the wrong credit card with annual fee and also not your card you are applying for.

Worst Customer Service EVER / Unreasonable Interest rate hikes

We got hit with an unreasonable and unexpected 5% interest rate increase on our Mastercard for NO LOGICAL REASON WHATOEVER .....

We have been using credit cards for at least 25 years and our credit rating is IMPECABLE ..... No Joke IMPECABLE

So why did MBNA out of the blue decide to raise our interest rates by a GROTESQUE 5% increase ...

When we spoke to the MBNA and requested an explanation, we were told in an VERY arrogant tone that they are doing it to everyone because simply said they are allowed to do so by law ... WOW ... What a sorry bunch of greedy *** .... No social concience whatsover ... ZERO ...

They did try to clumsingly offer us lower grade alternatives, but none of the products were even remotely close to the product they were taking away from us so we advised them that we were not interested and only after we started to seriously swear at them did we actually start getting REAL possible soltions but for we would have to start everyting over again from NEW .... ?!? But at this point their attitude had angered us so much that we just wanted to be rid of MBNA .... FOREVER ......

I am not sure if MBNA being bought out by Lloyds Bank has anything to do with the currently *** poor attitude of MBNA employees but if you want service from these jerks, you will have sadly have to yell at them and use very colorful language .... That seemed to get their attention Lol .....

IMO MBNA should be shut down and the CEO rabble at that rat *** company should all be picked up, judged and locked up for life for being such greedy entitled jerks.

IMO MBNA appears to be taking advantage of the current economic chaos created by the all the de-regulations imposed by the current Republican Goverment since 2016 ....

This is a POORLY organized cash grab from people who unlike us will have the luxery and capability to quickly DUMP MBNA and simply move on with a better credit company like we did ... What MBNA is doing is WRONG and IMMORAL and their actions are borderline criminal ....

Ironically MBNA lack of foresight and respect for its clientele wound up working to our advantage in the end as we tranferred our business to a new credit card with another financial instituton and are now enjoying a way more acceptable rate of 8.9% instead of the blatantly UNACEPTABLE rate of 19% that the MBNA was unsuccessfully and clumsingly trying to PUSH ON US ....

I guess we should thank MBNA for being so stupidly greedy as their unaceptable behavior has angered us and there after forced us to react romply and get revenge by SWIFTLY DUMPING THEM like the garbage that they are .....

It is sad to say but the fools that work at MBNA do not deserve any sympathy or understanding and to SERIOUSLY get their attention you will IMO sadly PROLLY need to yell and swear at them ... Sad but true .. Lol ...

They advised us that if we swore too much that they could hang up to which immediatly retorted that we would NOT be swearing at them had they NOT tried to screw us over with an unreasonably high interest rate increase ....

We had been asking to speak to a supervisor but they were bluntly refusing to do so and only AFTER WE YELLED AND INSULTED THEM did they finally decide to transfer us ... They have an attitude about them and sadly only verbal violence seems to work on these asswipes .......

At the end of the day, the MBNA is probably desperate to please the stock owners and are now resorting to desperate and despicable actions to meet their goals and that is IRREGARDLESS of the harm they are doing to either the reputation of their own company or the perception the harm that they are doing to their clientele ...

But whatever there reasons may be ... *** behavior is still *** behavior so no matter what the justification the MBNA may have for it interest hike, it does not excuse their *** poor attempt to make a cash grab with and unreasonably high interest hike ..... There is simply said no valid reason for this most despicable act other than PURE GREED and SELFISHNESS ... no other .....

I transferred credit from another card to take advantage of 0% intrest. I was scammed to believe it. I paid $186 in interest and $156 in insurance then more interest all in the same month coming to $468 in charges. Avoid this company at all costs.

I wiah I saw the reviews before going with them! Very unhappy, long waiting to talk to someone when in need, and they hang up when you need to speak to a manager. Ruthless distinctions company that is there only for interest to be charged. Switching made my life so much easier wirh another company, where they answer phone in keas than 3 min!

Customer Service of MBNA Re: COMPLAIN Credit Card 5491...........9583I am a long time a holder and user of your Credit Card “CARP ZOOMER”. I was always satisfied with using this card and as you may find, I was always properly pay my bills. However, for the last two-three weeks, I am experiencing very unpleasant experience – also embarrassing, when I want to use this card.I already talked over the phone with your Customer Services representative. That lady was very surprised that I was unable to use this card in Wallmart and she assured me I can use it normally. However 10 of October I could not use again this CARP CREDIT Card. Cash computer was refusing to accept this card. Even it charged me $1 for every trying.Today, Monday, October 15 it happened again. Cash register in MEDIEXRESS FARMACY in Burlington asked to remove the card and did not accept it for a payment. I was using this card in this store, as well in Wallmart, for years without any problem. Now, I had to experience embarrassment.I assume that you have some disorder concerning this card. A few weeks ago I got a letter signed by your Vice-president, saying that your company is braking cooperation with ZOOMER. Because that we will get a new card, which we will get it before the end of September. Until receiving a new card, we can used the present card as always. I assume, that company forgot to send the new card and made the present card invalid, or you changed the decision.Any way, what ewer is the reason, it is a very unfortunate, since it makes for us customers a very embarrassing situation. I really protest against such a negligence and ignorance toward customers. I am expecting a true explanation this very unusual situation. With MBNA Mastercard's new security system, introduced in early 2019 if memory serves, customers who travel outside Canada and get a new SIM card for their smart phone, are persona non grata. We are outcasts when it comes to accessing our online accounts.

Second-class citizens. If you try to sign in from a wifi location other than your usual one, such as home or office in Canada, it will not let you enter, even with the correct user ID and password. MBNA says it will send you a "one-time security code ("call me" or "text me") to one of the telephone numbers already recorded in your MBNA "phone list". Duhhhhh....

But I'm travelling in West Africa and had to get a new SIM card from a local company. So I temporarily have a new cell phone number which, of course, isn't recorded in my MBNA phone list. And I can't enter the new number in my phone list, because I don't have access to my on-line account. In other words, I can't check my account balance, transactions, payment due date, etc.

because I am unable to record my new cell phone number to which a security code must be sent to let me into my on-line account. Author Joseph Heller captured this intellectual handicap in his famous novel, Catch 22. Other credit card companies, when concerned that the person trying to get into your account may not be you, give you the option of authenticating your identity by email (which is more or less unaffected by foreign travel).

MBNA Mastercard is out to lunch when it comes to customer needs. The recent 5% increase in the annual interest rate on my account, unjustified by Canadian economic indicators, is further proof of that.

Trying to pay my credit card online........

It is Sunday the 7th of October and I have tried to pay my Credit Card bill online........ I do not wish to talk to an automated service...........

Your system is down for some reason that would enable I to do this........... Not HP and have destroyed the card as I feel you are not providing the service that you advertise.......................... James Gallagher, 45 Rigby Gardens, Carntyne, Glasgow, G32 6FB...................... This has caused me to cancel my card and rip it up and throw it away.......

I will not put up with this terrible service and can see no reason why we should continue our relationship Sad ............. Sad Sad Sad Sad Sad Sad Sad I can only say that this whole experience has left I shocked and I think I should be compensated for it by you cancelling this month bill and giving I 200 GBP Compensation for the stress and worry this has caused I................

Terrible customer service. I did payment one day earlier than due dates but was still charged interests. Representative named Neyman refused to pay interests back to my account and explained late posted is due to long weekend. But I paid on Thursday. It’s impossible to post it five days after. He also lied on my cash back balance. He said there are only $2 in my account and they can’t cash back to my account. I found out I have over $50 cash back on statement. I decide to close this MBNA credit card that I have used for five years. Neyman is very efficient on closing my account this time. Thank you MBNA. I’ll never have any business with your company!
