Signed up for a 1 year interest free card which you will agree with me would be an amazing deal. They kept charging me interests for no apparent reason.

When I called to inquire about interest they could never produce an answer as to why they were charging me, telling me it is probably because the 1 year had expired although I had had the card for less than 4 months. Customer support can barely understand what you are saying (I am sorry to say this but because they have thick accents so are probably not 100% fluent). Terrible terrible company to deal with.

Never again. Just goes to prove that there is no such thing as free money.

0% interest - garbage promotion with poor customer service

They will also not tell you that your promotion is expired, and put the interest rate at the maximum without telling customer. they will spam everything 2 months later saying you balance is past due with the interest rates already applied to principal.

Avoid at all cost. they will start charge extra even if you miss 1 day later of due date.
Their minimum payment in online and actual paper is different and make all the customers confused. I paied the minimum which was posted in the online, but actual minimum payment was 75 cents more. They did not notify this to me, and they simply took away the promotion next month because of 75 cent shortage.
They did not even try to contact customers or send out email or anything.
they will force you to pay interest at 23%+ instead of 0% right after that date.
customer service will treat you like a dog and look down at you.
be aware of this company, there are reasons that they offer 0% interest because they will do everything to get rid of that promotion and get the interests of your dept.

I paid my bill off in FULL... 5 days later I get charged interest on an account that is paid off in full.... worst customer service. Attitude, not helpful. Apps don’t work.. phone lines don’t work!!! Don’t ever get an MBNA CARD ... not worth the hassle!!

Negative comment on credit report

This negative comment placed on my credit report and later removed by Sears/MBNA caused a reduction in my credit score. They stated customer disputed charges after resolution was made (within the past month) but then removed it. The truth of the matter is that I paid off the balance this month and for the entire length of the loan, payment was always paid ahead of time. I had opened the account to take account of special financing offer with 0% interest providing you paid the entire amount within a certain date, which I did. I thought this would improve my score and it may have until they placed the negative review on my account the same month I paid it off. Now my score is lower. Even though they "removed the negative remark", it still clearly shows up on my credit report. Now I understand why my husband hates credit cards of all kinds. I'll have to be in a serious bind to ever use Sears/MBNA card again.

Applied to get their BW Rewards card which I received on Aug 24, 2017. Spent $2000 in the first 3 months as specified in requirements to get additional 40k BW points (total 60k), however they credited only 20k. When called and talked to 3 customer representatives they claimed it would be resolved in my favor. Finally, got a call from their manager Lindsay who told me I don't qualify. When I told her I had a screenshot of the offer (see attached) and email confirmation when my application was approved she said the that link I applied through did not give them the promo code for 60k but only 20k and said she will not credit remaining 40k. To my complaint how can that be my fault (them not receiving the right code) as I applied through the webpage (see attached) she did not have an answer. Avoid at all cost.

Balance transfer and customer service phone no

I talked to you over phone on August 01 for transferring balance from my MBNA cc (1368) to checking account in RBC. But the I have not see the transfer.

However, I have been trying to call you, but none of the phone no is working. I have been trying for last couple of days. It has been asking for last 4 digits of my cc and my phone password repeatedly. And both are correctly given each time.

It is very much frustrating that phone no is not working whereas the service is supposed to be 24/7. My phone no is 312-804-****.

It happened before and there is no option for email communication. That is also frustrating.

I cannot reset my password online. I CAN NOT talk on the phone. If it is online banking can I have an option to reset my password ONLINE? No?Why? The worst credit card. Do not take it! It is the company that provides a horrible service to the customers. Why do I need to call? What if I cannot talk? Why am I forced to talk? I cannot check my statement. What kind of service is that? I will not recommend this card to anyone. It is a ridiculous set up. The company "cares" about my security and I cannot use or check my account. Banks are not helpful. They only care about their own convenience.

MBNA will reveal your PIN number!

I have a joint account with my boyfriend and we obviously have different cards and different PINs. If I ever wanted to know his PIN number, all I have to do is request to change my PIN and they will provide me his PIN too! The lack in security is a joke. When I asked the Manager (Lindsay) how they were going to change this, her response was "I will report it to the IT team and you have to trust that I report it". It's scary to know a credit card company doesn't take security seriously and it makes me wonder how many times this company has been hacked already. Protecting people's PINs should be high priority!!!!!!!!!

Low Interest SCAM

I paid my min payment the previous month on due date and was fine on a the previous month's payment. I maintained .99% low interest offer for 1 year...

On the following month I even paid my bill 2 days in advance of due date, and still showed payment made on same date as due date but suddenly increased payment 300% out of no where!

I tried calling. After on hold for 1 hour, another recording came on and said to call back later then hung up! One hour on hold then hanging up on me?!

Next call will be to Ministry, and then I will pay these off scammers with another card...this should be illegal for the time and distress!

MBNA also too a few hundred dollars to secure the .99% interest to begin with!

Hello All, Please never ever use this credit card, it is a big waste of time working with these kinds of systems: 1- Most frequently they block your access to your online banking simply because of their own stupid technical problems...when you call them they help you to reset everything! 2- I called to cancel my account, I was told my balance was at zero, now I keep receiving bills on residual interests! 3- Please choose a system which is valid, trust able and reliable. Good credit cards with reputable names which have strong validity and reliability behind them. 4- Waiting time of 15 to 20 min is another hassle to deal with them. Best regards

Mbna helpless & useless

I applied for mbna when i was new to Canada and refused. That's make sense because of bew credit history or whatever I applied afain afer nore then 3 years with good salary and credit score to pay my high interest cards refused again. Same happened with my wife to. Thumbs down

Don’t travel and expect help if you are out of sink with eastern Time (Canada or Us time zone. Their offices are closed so no one can help you. They block your card and there security department are closed. So you are out of luck and can’t use you card. Awfull they think you travel only according to eastern time.
